About Khelo India Youth Games 2022

As we have mentioned that 4th Khelo India Youth Games online registration form filling process has been started at nsrs.kheloindia.gov.in. Interested youths can make registration as athlete at the official website of National Sports Repository System (NSRS). Coaches, sports training center, technical official, manager and volunteers can even apply online for KIYG 2022. Hosting of 4th edition of KIYG

Haryana state is the host of Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 4th edition. CM Manohar Lal Khattar on 26 April 2022 mentioned that fourth edition of KIYG was scheduled to take place in the year 2021 but it got postponed multiple times due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). Now as the situation of COVID-19 is far better, KIYG is being organized from 4 June 2022 to 13 June 2022. The Games are held in Shahbad, Ambala, Chandigarh and Delhi apart from Panchkula. Game wise dates have been announced as the KIYG schedule is finalized.

As per the KIYG latest announcement, 4th edition of Khelo India Youth Games which was earlier scheduled to be held in the year 2021 will now be organized from 4 June 2022 to 13 June 2022. Haryana govt. expects to host the KIYG at the same scale as the previous ones. In KIYG 2022, it is expected that more than 8,500 atheletes will participate.

Athletes Online Registration: Khelo India Youth Games 2022

Now we are describing process for athletes online registration to participate in KIYG 2022:-

  • First of all, go to official website nsrs.kheloindia.gov.in
  • On homepage, click at “Sign Up” link.
  • In opened window, please select your role as athlete to make Athlete online registration for Khelo India Youth Games.
  • Then Khelo India Youth Games online registration form 2022 for athletes.
  • Enter details in Khelo India Youth Games registration form, submit it to complete KIYG registration process.
  • Next you can make login at nsrs.kheloindia.gov.in website homepage.
  • Finally make NSRS KheloIndia Gov login to participate in Khelo India Youth Games 2022.

Khelo India ID (KID) at NSRS Portal

National Sports Repository System (NSRS) is a digital MIS, which envisages to provide a comprehensive digital solution for all the major stakeholders such as Athletes, Coaches, Sports Scientists, Sports Training Centers, Federations and Administrators. It is an open platform of sports eco-system where Athletes, Coaches and Academies can register themselves. On successful registration, an Unique number (KID – Khelo India ID) is generated, which is used for accessing the NSRS.

The mobile application of Khelo India envisages to provide for a leaner version of web platform. Khelo India App helps you to get information about various games (HOW TO PLAY – ‘LEARN’) , available sporting facilities (WHERE TO PLAY – ‘PLAY’) and fitness assessment of your children (‘GET FIT’). This application is developed by Sports Authority of India under Khelo India Scheme of Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Khelo India Youth Games 2022 Venue

Haryana state has done well in all three earlier editions of Khelo India Youth Games. While Haryana came second in both KIYG 2019 (159 medals in 2019) and KIYG 2020 editions (200 medals in 2020), Haryana won it in 2018 with 102 podium finishes (38 gold, 26 silver, 38 bronze). The Haryana state has always promoted sports in a big way and supported its athletes. The chosen venue for Khelo India Youth Games 2022 is Haryana state which is equipped with the best sporting infrastructure to host a multi-sport event like KIYG.

Now the Haryana state will host Khelo India Youth Games 4th edition which will only add greater impetus to government’s commitment towards creating a strong sporting ecosystem. CM Manohar Lal Khattar mentioned that state has done very well in the last few editions of Khelo India Youth Games and many of our athletes are already training under the Khelo India Scheme.

Haryana has enough lodging facilities for the large number of participants who are expected to attend the Khelo India Youth Games 2021-22 going to be organized b/w 4th June to 13 June 2022. Haryana has produced many elite athletes, such as wrestlers namely Yogeshwar Dutt, Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Vinesh Phogat. Also, several para-athletes such as Deepa Malik, athlete Neeraj Chopra, boxer Amit Panghal and shooters Sanjeev Rajput, Manu Bhaker, Anish Bhanwala also belong to Haryana state. These athletes have represented and won medals for India at international platforms.

Haryana already has a very strong sporting culture and has given the country some of its best athletes. With the Khelo India Youth Games being hosted in the state, more and more aspiring athletes from Haryana will be motivated to take up competitive sport.
