Agniveer Army Bharti Yojana Protest

Aspiring youth who wants to get inducted in Indian Army are staging protests against Agnipath Scheme 2022. Youths of various states like Bihar, Haryana etc are protesting against the new Agneepath Scheme. Several trains, buses, cars, auto rickshaws, police vehicles have been put on fire by the youths to register their protest against the new Agniveer Army Bharti Yojana 2022.

In lieu of these protests, the central government has raised the upper age limit for Indian army recruitment for the current year from 21 years to 23 years. This is because the military recruitment process was halted for the past 2 years due to COVID-19. But the relaxation in upper age limit ie 23 years is applicable for this year recruitment process only (central govt. mentioned it as one time waiver).
